Rachael Davis

Rachael is a graduate intern working towards her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University. She is currently under the supervision of Kelly Stephenson, LPC.

Rachael believes that healing is possible and joy is not out of reach. Because we were designed for relationships, our flourishing is nurtured best in spaces where there is a compassionate witness to the tender parts of our stories and a guide when the light is dim. Rachael draws from attachment-based models, family systems theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and a psychodynamic framework to tailor an approach suited to you and your goals.

Rachael welcomes clients of all ages and sees individuals, couples, and families. She has a heart for supporting ministry leaders and adoptive families in the caregiving roles they offer to others. Rachael also enjoys the opportunity to integrate faith and spiritual formation into therapy when the client so desires.

Prior to becoming a counselor, Rachael worked as a stay-at-home mom with four children, learning to navigate the challenges of adoptive and special needs parenting. She has served alongside her husband in pastoral ministry for over twenty years, and understands the complexities of ministry life. Rachael and her family live in Alexandria, VA. On her favorite days she enjoys unhurried time curled up with a cup of coffee, a good book, and her dog, Benji.
