Kimberlee Johannesen
Kimberlee is a Licensed Professional Counselor with several years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings including private practice, employee assistance programs, and hospitals. She brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work and values walking alongside clients as they identify areas of growth and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
She has experience working with individuals navigating concerns related to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, and disordered eating. In addition, she has experience working with engaged and married couples and is a certified facilitator for PREPARE/ENRICH couples assessment. Her therapeutic approach is psychodynamic and client-centered, incorporating practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to thoughtfully support each client’s unique needs.
She and her husband live in Arlington, VA and she has three grown children. She enjoys traveling, biking, cooking and baking, and spending time with family and friends.
