Eliza Gallagher
Eliza is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has over 7 years of experience that includes both school settings and private practice. As a counselor, Eliza believes in building a support system unique for each person. She creates a safe, inclusive, open space for clients to enter into as they engage mentally, emotionally, physically and/or spiritually. Eliza utilizes Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Person-Centered, Internal Family Systems and mindfulness techniques.
Eliza specializes in working with individuals of all ages as well as families. She has experience working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, separation, grief & loss, trauma, self-esteem, major life transitions, suicidal thoughts, family systems, conflict resolution, and emotion management. Eliza has a special interest in working with children and teens as they navigate their own emotions and the world they live in.
Eliza lives in Arlington, VA with her husband, their daughter and their Rhodesian ridgeback, Oshie. She loves running, her book club, drinking a hot cup of coffee, and trying new recipes in the kitchen.
