Christie Kayal


Christie is a Resident in Counseling with years of experience working with children, adolescents and young adults. Prior to a career in counseling, Christie worked as a school counselor. Now as a therapist, Christie brings her passion of coming alongside clients to navigate the mental, emotional and social challenges in one’s life. Everyone has a different journey but all deserve a path of deeper healing, greater satisfaction, and more stability. She serves her clients best with a blend of evidence-based therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, Child-Centered Play Therapy and dialectic behavioral therapy. She is a certified facilitator in the PREPARE/ENRICH marital assessment. Her areas of clinical interest include life transitions, anxiety, family systems, self-esteem building, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.

Christie has lived in Northern VA for 10 years. She finds joy in times spent with her husband and 4 children and believes a good sweat, tears or swim does her soul good!”
