Angelica Karns is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than six years of experience in private practice. She is passionate about creating safe spaces where individuals can find hope, healing, and lasting growth. Angelica provides compassionate, evidence-based counseling for adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, body image concerns, grief, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Angelica believes healing involves caring for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. She takes a holistic approach to therapy, helping clients understand the connection between emotional, physical, and spiritual health in order to support deeper, lasting healing.
Her integrative approach draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based practices.
Angelica lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and energetic young son. She enjoys spending lots of time outdoors, reading, visiting the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
